Blurb:
Mohan and Sofia plot to rob one of the richest banks in Germany. Their luck ensures huge haul with no loose end. With all the money in the world and love in the air, they live life straight out of a fairy tale.
But, alas! A sudden turn of events entangles them into a cobweb of politics, terror and love. With terror tag chasing them, they had to race harder and faster.
Are they fast enough?
Plotline:
The story revolves around Mohan and Sofia who happen to meet outside the oldest bank of Germany, and strike a random conversation about looting it. Sensing each other's resolution regarding the plan, the duo decides to meet and discuss the plan further.
Are Mohan and Sofia really serious about the heist?
Although the two are definitely getting closer to each other, they also seem to have opposite views regarding the use of the money stolen - While Sofia plans to use it for the public welfare in India, Mohan wants to use it for personal satisfaction.
Will they be able to sort out the personal differences and carry out the robbery?
Even if they do decide to proceed ahead with the plan, and rob the biggest bank in Germany, for how long will they succeed in hiding from their deeds and living the almost perfect version of their 'happily ever after'?
Will Mohan and Sofia be able to carry out their plan successfully or get caught? Grab the book to find out.
Characters:
The book is plot-driven rather than character-driven. Therefore, there is not much discussed about the characters and their respective backgrounds. The author does speak briefly of Sofia’s family in the initial chapters, but they weren’t mentioned again in the succeeding chapters.
Language and Writing style:
The book was definitely fast paced. The title and blurb promised a heist, and the story concluded that promise thoroughly. The story does not get distracted by the love story blooming between the main characters, although it does get acknowledged. There is not one instance where the story seems to be boring or unnecessarily dragged. The language used by the author is eloquent and unambiguous.
Title and book cover:
The title is apt and the blurb gives a perfectly clear idea of the story. The book cover was what caught my eye in the first place. The thermal image of a couple running away from possibly a blazing fire looks astounding.
Dislikes:
I honestly would have preferred if the author had focused slightly on character development as well, because it would have made it easier for the readers to form an emotional connect with the characters.
Recommend?
Overall, it was a short and fast paced thriller/mystery that was definitely fun to read.
