Knots is a collection of poetry and prose about love and heartbreak, tragedy and grief, survival and loss. It's a journey through the numerous knots that we tie in life, and the ones we tangle and untangle with. It explores the realities of mental illness & suicide, social taboos & violence against women, pain & darkness, self love & healing in all its naked glory. The rhythm of Knots resonates directly with the poet's heart, conveying to the readers that there is a way to untangle every knot in life, but sometimes, some of these knots are what we are made of.
"As her fangs sink into my neck Drink from me, my beloved, as my body writhes and aches I'm yours forever, my heart surrenders As my body does too.."
My thoughts:
Plotline:

Knots These knots that do bind, Make thee one of a kind is a deluge of poetry and prose that revolves around various emotions that one experiences in life. The poet beautifully weaves together the tales of various sweet and harsh realities of life. Knots is spit into seven chapters, that are as following:
✦Heartbreak
✦Love
✦Fantasia
✦Darkness
✦Pain
✦Lost
✦Healing
Each section consists of various short proses and poems that leave an imprint on the hearts of the readers. The poetess has, instead of sticking to one story/topic, chosen to express her thoughts in various scenarios which allows the readers to connect with her writing. I personally found the poems to be a little too gloomy and dark. Love, Fantasia and Healing are the only three themes that are vibrant and spread positivity. But I think, since the main idea of this book was the encompass the despondent and grim sentiments we undergo, so that’s acceptable.

Language and writing style:
✽ The emotions portrayed by the poetess are raw and soulful.
✽ The poems incorporate a fusion of rhyming scheme and free verse.
✽ The language is lucid and comprehensible.
"A confidant, a partner in crime, a sibling. All these multifaceted personalities wrapped up in a single monosyllabic word."
Book cover:
The book cover is simple and dark themed. It depicts a couple with a knot in their relationship.

Dislikes:
💔 I prefer reading poems with rhyming scheme. The poetess did employ rhymed words at some points, but the lack of consistency could have been improved.
💔 A balance between the positive and negative themes would have made this a better read for me.

Recommend?
I do recommend this book to the readers who like dark themed writings.
"Stab me in the heart with your pen, and let me bleed dry the ink of my story."
