Kartik fell in love with Ashima the very first time he saw her. She was everything he had ever imagined in his dream girl – his angel. As their friendship blossomed into deep love, culminating into marriage, he became her teddy, her confidant and an eternal support. But in trying to be with her, Kartik made a choice that broke his father’s heart and hopes. As Kartik and Ashima gear up to step into the next Phase of their relationship, life seems like an overload of joy and love. He is confident his love for Ashima will win over all odds, even his father. Little did he know that things were going to change drastically, forever. Why does Ashima marry someone else? Why does Kartik accept it silently? And why is life so unpredictable? This is a story of deep love that knows no bounds, relationships that break all barriers, and a promise – I am always here with you.
"It's time to let go of the life we planned, and to accept the one waiting for you. Whatever you do in your life, trust me, I am always here with you."
My thoughts:
✽ 'I Am Always Here With You' is romance fiction with Ashima and Kartik as the protagonists.
✽ Kartik joins a new school and falls in love with Ashima the second he lays his eyes on her. They manage to become best friends at school.
✽ Kartik has a great bonding with his parents, especially with his father. Kartik always wanted to become an engineer just like his role-model, his father.
✽ After the 10th board results were announced, Ashima declares that she's choosing Arts and would love if Kartik joined her. Kartik was too scared that distance might take over their love. Thus, love takes over everything else after Kartik chooses Arts over engineering. This leaves his father heartbroken and strains the father-son bonding.
"At that time of my life, love was more significant for me than my career. At that time of my life, my love was bigger than the expectations of my father."
✽ Even though Kartik was upset about his strained relationship with his father, he was content since he had Ashima by his side.
✽ Kartik proposes Ashima when they were in college and eventually they get married at the age of 22. They live a happy married life and often recall the moments they spent together.
✽ When Ashima was pregnant, the two families decide to have dinner together which brings a drastic change in their lives.
✽ Kartik and Ashima were separated by destiny but true love keeps their souls united. Kartik never leaves Ashima's side.
Likes :
✽ The title of the story is justified.
✽ The book cover may seem cliché at first but it actually reflects the cycle rides Kartik and Ashima had together during their school days, therefore, it is appropriate.
✽ The story is fast-paced. There's not a moment that seemed unnecessarily dragged.
✽ The story succeeds in making the readers experience a roller-coaster ride. It is filled with various emotions.
✽ The story not only focuses on their marriage, but also on family relationships.
"There was a time when I showed you the way, but thanks to you for showing me the correct path, my son. I am sorry for all my mistakes. Love you, your Papa.
Kartik's Papa."

Dislikes :
There are a few spelling & punctuation mistakes.
Something that I absolutely loved about this novel?
The letters and the flashbacks.
Recommend?
A big yes for all the romance fiction readers.
"Disclaimer : If you are too emotional, stop reading this story now."
